Chocolate cream puff

The first time I decided to make chocolate cream puff pastry, I thought, “Alright, I’m taking the plunge; it can’t go wrong!” I hadn’t eaten it in years, and I wasn’t sure if the layers would actually soften or not, how thick the cream layer should be, if it needed to be refrigerated, and I didn’t even have the right baking tray, so I improvised with a baking sheet that was a bit too large….
